Alan Parsons Project, England's sensational art rock artists are bringing their signature sounds to the Florida Theater!
Alan Parsons Project was formed in London (England) in 1974 by engineer/producer Alan Parsons along with songwriter and lyricist Eric Woolfson. Over the years, their musical style has spanned many genres such as progressive rock (a broad subgenre of rock music that grew out of psychedelic bands who abandoned standard traditions in favour of instrumentation and compositional techniques more frequently associated with jazz, folk or classical music), soft rock (a subgenre of pop music that largely features acoustic guitars and slow to mid tempos), art rock (a subgenre of rock music that generally reflects a challenging or avant-garde approach to rock, and is often distinguished by the use of electronic effects and easy listening textures far removed from the propulsive rhythms of early rock), and progressive pop (a form of pop music which attempts to break with the genre's standard formula by using changes in key and rhythm, experimenting with larger forms, and by modifying past conventions in unexpected, disruptive, or ironic ways). They’ve had a stellar career with 10 studio albums (5 of which were top 20 hits on the US Billboard 200 chart), 23 compilation albums, 28 singles
