Alice Cooper, Michigan’s sensational shock and glam rock artist, is bringing his signature sounds to Florida Theater!
Alice Cooper (birth name Vincent Damon Furnier) was born in Detroit in 1948 and is a singer, songwriter, musician and occasional actor. He started his career as the lead vocalist of the band Alice Cooper, along with lead guitarist Glen Buxton, Michael Bruce on rhythm guitar, Dennis Dunaway on bass guitar, and drummer Neal Smith. They released their first album in 1969 but it wasn’t until their 1971 hit (I'm Eighteen) from their third studio album (Love It to Death) that they saw mainstream success. They followed it up with an even more successful single (School's Out) in 1972, and hit their commercial peak with the 1973 album Billion Dollar Babies. Vincent adopted the band's name as his own and began a solo career with the 1975 album Welcome to My Nightmare. He went on to release 18 more solo albums and in 2011, the original Alice Cooper band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
