Sensational blues artists Buddy Guy and Quinn Sullivan are bringing their signature sounds to the Florida Theater!

George ‘Buddy’ Guy was born in Lettsworth (Louisiana) in 1936 and is a guitarist and singer. He’s had a stellar career with 17 studio albums, 8 live albums, and 22 compilation albums. He’s also collaborated on many albums with artists such as the Junior Wells Band, Otis Spann, Junior Mance, Memphis Slim, Phil Guy, Red House, G.E. Smith, Joss Stone, and the Dirty Dozen Brass Band. He’s received many accolades including 7 Grammy Awards, 23 W.C Handy Awards, a National Medal of Arts (given by the United States President), and a Kennedy Center Honor. When being awarded the latter, Kennedy Center chairman David Rubenstein said, “Buddy Guy is a titan of the blues and has been a tremendous influence on virtually everyone who has picked up an electric guitar in the last half century.” Buddy was a major influence on many renowned guitarists such as Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Keith Richards, Jeff Beck, John Mayer and Stevie Ray Vaughan. He’s also been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame, and the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum.
