Jo Koy, Washington’s sensational comedian is bringing his indelible comedy to the Florida Theater!

Jo Koy (birth name Joseph Glenn Herbert) was born in Tacoma (Washington) in 1971 and his stage name comes from a nickname given to him by his family. He started his journey in comedy in 1994 at a Las Vegas comedy club and went on to make his TV debut on BET's ComicView. He’s had a stellar career with appearances on Jamie Foxx Presents: Laffapalooza, Chelsea Lately (late night comedy talk show hosted by comedian Chelsea Handler and broadcast on E! from 2007 to 2014), The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, truTV Presents: World's Dumbest...(a reality show presenting a comedic look at 20 half-witted and offbeat events recorded on camera), The Adam Corolla Show (a free podcast hosted by comedian and radio television personality Adam Carolla), and The Woody Show (a radio talk show on ALT 98.7 in Los Angeles, starring Jeff "Woody" Fife, Tony Mott, and Renae Ravey). He’s released 2 comedy albums (Lights Out at Night and Don’t Make Him Angry) and he was featured on Comedy Central Presents; the network's main program which highlights either one or a series of stand up comedians each episode. He’s performed at the Montreal comedy festival ‘Just For Laughs’ twice and has won Canada’s prestigious Gemini Award.
