John Cleese, England’s sensational and multi talented comedian is bringing his indelible comedy to the Florida Theater!

John Marwood Cleese was born in Weston-super-Mare (Somerset, England) in 1939 and is an actor, voice actor, screenwriter, producer, and comedian. He began his career as a scriptwriter and a cast member in the 1963 Footlights Revue A Clump of Plinths and made a name for himself with his work on the The Frost Report; a satirical television show hosted by David Frost and ran for 28 episodes on the BBC from March 1966 to December 1967. He’s best known for being a co founder of Monty Python; the comedy troupe that created the sketch show Monty Python's Flying Circus as well as the four Monty Python films: And Now for Something Completely Different, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Life of Brian, and The Meaning of Life. Monty Python and the Holy Grail is a 1975 slapstick comedy film that parodies the legend of King Arthur's quest to find the Holy Grail. It’s grossed more than any British film shown in the US in 1975 ($5 million from a budget of $400,000) and Rotten Tomatoes has called it “a cult classic as gut-bustingly hilarious as it is blithely ridiculous.” He's also renowned in the United Kingdom for playing the neurotic hotel manager Basil Fawlty in the sitcom, Fawlty Towers.
