The Little River Band was formed in Melbourne (Victoria, Australia) in 1975 by Beeb Birtles (guitar and vocals), Graham Davidge (lead guitar), Graeham Goble (guitar and vocals), Dave Orams (bass guitar), Derek Pellicci (drums), and Glenn Shorrock (lead vocals). The band’s been through many line up changes since then and it currently consists of Wayne Nelson (bass guitar and lead vocals), Greg Hind (guitar and vocals), Chris Marion (keyboards and vocals), Rich Herring (guitar and vocals), Ryan Ricks (drums and vocals). Over the years, their musical style has spanned many genres including soft rock (a subgenre of pop music that largely features acoustic guitars and slow to mid tempos), pop rock (a genre that originated in the 1950s, influenced by the beat, arrangements, and style of rock and roll but with a greater emphasis on professional songwriting and recording craft), and adult contemporary (popular radio music, ranging from 1960s vocal and 1970s soft rock music to predominantly ballad heavy music of the present day, with varying degrees of easy listening, pop, soul, rhythm and blues, and rock influence). They’ve had a stellar career with 17 studio albums, 4 live albums, 5 compilation albums, 1 music video, 1 extended play, 35 singles, and they've sold over 30 million records worldwide.
